What measuring geometry is suitable for what application?
The recommended measuring geometry is dependent on the kind of sample, which has to be measured. That can be e.g. dispersion colors, rough surfaces, lacquers, effect colors, powder, etc.. Multi angle measuring devices are used by effect colors. A spherical geometry is used by rough surfaces and other not closed surfaces. A 0°/45° geometry is used by lacquered surfaces and by shiny and structural differences.
