Lighting Technology for the Light-sound Art Installation "LUCE. The Sound of Colors"
MAZeT Develops and Supplies the Lighting Technology for the Light-sound Art Installation "LUCE. The Sound of Colors"
Jena, Germany. February 25, 2009 – The final event of the year "Jena – City of Science 2008" clearly reflected the 162 years of tradition in the optical industry of this city on the banks of the river Saale. The focus was on light and its use in the art installation "LUCE. The Sound of Colors" ( http://p54163.typo3server.info/268.0.html ). Rosalie ( http://www.rosalie.de ), an artist from Stuttgart, Germany, created a work of art that harmonizes sound with colors in a fascinating way. RGB LED light sources lit up 170 balloons of different sizes in various colors. The overall impression of this work of art was significantly influenced by the JENCOLOR color sensors. The special characteristics of the MAZeT sensors allow the spectral color and brilliance to be identically controlled for all of the illuminated balloons to achieve a level of homogeneity unknown up until now. See for yourself! You can get a brief impression about the work of art and the technology in the following clips.
