MAZeT GmbH was founded in Erfurt in 1992 as an engineering firm for electronic and development services, with a business unit in Jena. The first few years of the company’s history were characterized by the development of specialized expertise and establishment on the market. The company’s successful history is distinguished by consistent annual sales growth accompanied by an increase in the number of employees.

MAZeT has experienced more than 15 years of profitable growth, according to Dr. Wolfgang Hecker, one of the managing directors: Constantly increasing turnover, profit and employee numbers have facilitated the development of a company with a “strong financial, personnel and technological foundation.” MAZeT enjoys an international reputation and has made a name for itself in the development and manufacture of customer and application-specific ICs, electronic components and software using cutting-edge technology and optoelectronic applications.

Hecker explains, “Our success is the result of concentrating on our core business of electronic design and manufacturing services in our target markets - medical technology, and industrial measurement and automation technology.” MAZeT has developed customer-specific products and custom end-to-end solutions, demonstrating its ability to realize complex projects in a professional manner. The demand for customer-specific solutions remains high in the development of circuits, hardware and software for mass production.

MAZeT’s own products include true-color sensors and application boards and are marketed under the JENCOLOR brand. MAZeT are experts in the development of customer-specific color measurement applications. Boasting a new design in 2007, JENCOLOR stands for customer-specific solutions and standard products for spectral selective sensor devices. JENCOLOR means color sensors made to resist obsolescence and remain stable at a range of temperatures and color sensors which reflect the color sensitivity of the human eye - color measurement according to DIN 5033 / CIE LAB standard.

Market knowledge and high quality standards have been key factors for MAZeT’s success ever since the company was founded in 1992. MAZeT’s quality management system has been certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001 since 1996 as a result of joint efforts by both staff and management.
